WHBSF General Assembly in Ebbs

On Sunday 27 September 2026, the WHBSF's annual general assembly was held in a hybrid format at the Fohlenhof in Ebbs. President Lukas Scheiber welcomed the participants and reported on the most important activities and developments of the past two years.

Highlights included the 2025 Haflinger World Show in Ebbs, the award of the 2027 European Haflinger Championship, and numerous international contacts and meetings with member organisations. The WHBSF's new website was also launched. The President identified the standardisation of aptitude and performance tests as the next key objective.

Secretary Michael Gruber presented the 2025 annual accounts, which showed a profit of 1,028.57 euros. The Audit Committee confirmed that the records had been kept in accordance with the rules and had no objections. The accounts were therefore unanimously approved by the members.

One important resolution was the unanimous admission of the Hungarian Haflinger Horse Breeders’ Association (Magyar Haflingi Lótenyésztő Egyesület) as a full member of the WHBSF.

The meeting then focused on the 2027 European Haflinger Championship. Due to technical difficulties, Secretary Michael Gruber and Project Manager Luca Marini took over the presentation from Roland Morat, who was due to join the meeting remotely, and provided an update on the upcoming event and the preparations for it.

Under the agenda item ‘Any other business’, reports were given on the OHD shows in spring and summer 2026, as well as on an exhibition in the Czech Republic.

The HWZSV looks back on two eventful years and is now turning its attention to the tasks ahead, particularly the 2027 European Haflinger Championship.
